Frequently asked questions
No data is stored on the server and the API key is not retained between calls. No permanent cookies are stored, and your login token is only stored in a temporary cookie.
All data transfers are encrypted. However, we make no warranties or guarantees about information security. Do not use this tool if you are concerned about the security of confidential information.
This tool does not delete any data and will not modify any existing projects. A new project copy is made each time.
However, no warranties are made. Use this tool at your own risk. Asana Training or any of its representatives are not responsible for any results of using this tool, including loss of data. This tool was developed as a labor of love for the Asana community.
There are a number of known issues with this tool, often due to limitations with Asana’s API. Some of these issues include:
- Custom fields are not copied; they need to be created in the target workspace and the IDs remapped. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any way to create a new custom field type using the API, so the custom field definition will need to be created manually.
- Formatting in descriptions is not copied. The API currently only returns plain text in the notes field for Task objects. Any formatting in the description will be lost after copying the task.
